GIRL BASSIST MISSFLEA

For some strange reason, women bassists are not that common (not as common as male bassists, anyway), so finding someone like MissFlea who kicks this much ass is a breath of fresh air. Here's her rendition of "Black-eyed Blonde" from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but her channel has more great videos. Time spent there is time well spent.

FEATURED LIVING-ROOM ROCK GOD

How do you guys like this new way of presenting the Featured LRRG?

JAZZESAXE'S CORNER

In Jazz, one of the most played and admired instrument is the piano. It requires alot of skills and jazz theory, making it one of the most hard to play but also the most cherished. As you will see, all the chord changes and significant style with get your head confused, but don't be shy, take a chance and get into this fine art of music that is jazz piano!

FEATURED YOUTUBE CHANNEL

So, how come a YouTube user with only 2 videos is the Featured YouTube Channel? Well, Nate is a cool guy, but that's not the real reason. The real reason is because of his favorites list; it has 501 videos in it... all great. They cover pretty much everything from user (LRRG) videos to live perfomances.

Oooh, but that's not all! Besides the scattered 500 videos, there are also 3 play lists with 200 videos each. Trust me, it's a nice way to spend some free down time (like 5 hours of free down time).

LRRG COLLABORATION

Not long ago, LRRG BrandonLibman2008 posted a rendition of Cake's "I will survive". Then, LRRG LouddrummerO took that rendition and played a drum track to it. It turned out awesome, but he had no clue how to make split-screen videos... until last night; he then asked me to post it, which makes this the first ever LRRG video submission!

LouddrummerO was also kind enough to give us a download link for better quality in both sound and image, CLICK HERE.

JAZZESAXE'S CORNER: STREET MUSIC

Dougles15 plays a funky and bluesy saxophone in the streets of Germany. He has the guts to play in the streets, and was hoping to make some money during the process. Let's see if he was good enough to earn some cash...

GET UP AND JUMP!

How cool is this? I don't know about you, but I think this kid, who goes by the name DavidSinRocks, nailed it, and even appears like he hurt himself at the end of the video (where he looks to his finger in a "ow..." kind of way)... all he was left to do was to actually get up and jump.

LRRG RESOURCES: AUDACITY

Audio recording and editing software can be quite expensive, or, on the other hand, free audio editing software usually sucks. Audacity apparently solves both issues, being a quite cool audio editor, and many people seem to like it. One of the best advantages is that it is not only for Windows, but has Mac and Linux/Unix versions as well.

For more information about this free-which-doesn't-suck software (or just out of curio-city), pay a visit to their home web site: audacity.sourceforge.net

Now, all we need is a decent free video editor...

MATTER'S BACK WITH A VENGANCE

You guys remember Matter311. Drummed for BDJam in several occasions and has a couple of awesome Tool collaborations to his name. He was M.I.A for a while... until now. Recently, he posted a couple of videos using his new recording gear given to him by his wife for birthday/christmas, and what a sweet gift it was. But don't believe me, judge for yourself. Here he is playing 46and2 from Tool. We LRRG's sure are glad to have you back, Matt!
